My keynote covers all major milestones in early childhood development through music. As an expert in this field, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with teachers and educators to help them better understand how to support children's growth and development. I use a combination of interactive activities, group discussions, and practical online strategies to ensure that my participants are engaged and learning throughout the session.

By the end of the workshop, teachers will have gained valuable insights and techniques that they can apply in the classroom to help children reach their full potential.

My Story: When my son was 2 years old he was non-verbal. I didn’t really know what to do. I took him to the doctor, tested his hearing and cognitive skills and he checked out normal. Responsive. The doctors said give it time. But when he was almost 3 years old with limited speech, I decided to do something! What came naturally for me was to sing and play with him. I began creating purposeful interactive songs to keep him engaged and learning at the same time.Slowly and miraculously I started to see the light turn on. His language skills and comprehension development leaped forward!! I witnessed first hand how music changed my son’s life. And now I’m hooked!

The last 14 years I’ve devoted my life to creating a complete curriculum of music for educators and parents to help their children learn through music including science, math, literacy, social studies and gross motor skills. Teachers should embrace technology and use it to their advantage.

DESCRIPTION: This interactive session will get you moving to new curriculum based music by international YouTube sensation children’s musician Patty Shukla. Not only will she share how to make participatory songs exciting and developmentally appropriate, you will leave with internet expertise to find new music on your smart devices. Energetic songs and tech savvy applications for today’s classrooms with cutting edge information to support learning.

• Learn developmentally appropriate movement activities that help children build a foundation of basic motor skills and improve overall health, coordination and self-confidence. • Learn how to conduct musical games, exercises and physical activities that involve children

This is a participatory workshop where developmentally appropriate activities for toddlers to school-age children will be shared.
