What Does the Bible Say About Eating Disorders? | Ask Redeemer | Jon Benzinger

What is the Christian view of eating disorders? This is a simple answer to a complex question. God created food for our good, but because of the fall, food can be used in harmful ways. Food is good, but we are not to be mastered or controlled by it. When food becomes an idol that controls one's thoughts, actions, plans, goals, and emotions, it goes from being a good thing to being a "god" kind of thing that dominates life and replaces God.
