Building a Cylinder Liner Puller

Building a liner puller that will work from the top side with the piston still in it. Pulling a cylinder liners is simple enough (apparently) when a motor is in the truck and you can jack them out but I need to pull six out of a motor sitting on the stand. This was the second iteration of an idea I had. It works on the principle that when I tighten the puller down it will spread and grip the walls of the liner firmly. I can then jack the liner out of the motor from the topside.

Will it work? We will all find out together this winter when I pull them one way or another. Place your bets ladies and gentleman!
