An Ancient Way to Simplify Modern Eating: Elizabeth Andoh at TEDxAustin

Seems everyday eating has become so complicated. Culinary philosopher, Elizabeth Andoh introduces us to the basics of Washuko, a holistic principle of food sourcing, cooking and sharing that offers a harmonious way to create a balanced diet by learning to choose 5 colors, 5 tastes and 5 cooking methods.

Making Japan her home for decades, Elizabeth is passionate that eating is an experience which transcends taste and she invites us to adopt a less stressful and ultimately much more satisfying approach to every meal.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
