This week, we visit our second home at this popular EC - but this time, a 5 bedroom unit. This was homeowners Kevin and Serene second home, and they wanted a Scandinavian Bohemian look this time around, without compromising on functionality as well.

The original layout was quite different, with a smallish living area, and a closed kitchen with a yard. They wanted an open layout instead, and the result is something much more open and inviting - with a 2.3m kitchen island as the centrepiece. It isn’t just about the visuals, everything has been carefully thought out to cater to their lifestyle. For example, the island features power points and lots of handy storage along with quartz for the countertop for better durability.

In keeping with the white look of the kitchen, they specially chose a white fridge and oven, and the storage space next to it has a pocket door so that they can keep it open as well without sacrificing the look of the space. Further thoughtfulness has extended into the living area, with a modular sofa that incorporates both an armchair along some shelving storage at the side.
