Creating Your First SwiftUI Widget | iOS 14

Today, Kilo Loco will be going over how to implement SwiftUI Widgets into your app from scratch. We will implement all three widgetFamily sizes: systemSmall, systemMedium, and systemLarge.

We start by creating our SwiftUI iOS app just like normal, but add the capability to persist our selected Emoji object to UserDefaults by using App Groups. Then we add our Widget Extension as a new target to the project. Lastly, we create a TimelineProvider, a placeholder view and entry view that handles our TimelineEntry and renders our widget.

Anyone looking to not only add Widgets to their app, but fully understanding what's going on at each step of implementing widgets will definitely find this video useful.
