Philco Cathedral Radio 37-61 - Part 1: Unpacking

In this video, we take our fist look at this awesome 1937 Philco Cathedral Model 37-61 radio. Normally, I do not make an unpacking version of radios that come in to be restored. But this is one of the best packing jobs I have seen and wanted to show it to you all. This is how you pack a radio for shipping!

We will begin electrically restoring this radio in the very near future. As always, I will link each addition to the series in the description of each upload. Today's video is to show the incredible condition of the radio for its age. The next video will be the diagnosis of the chassis circuitry and identification of components that will need to be replaced or repaired.

This is a beautiful radio which we will be getting up to tip top shape in this video series.
