About Chandigarh
Everyone knows about Chandigarh. It is one of the most popular cities in India. Being the capital of two states, Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh is famous for its clean roads and greenery. There are many tourist spots in The City Beautiful which attract visitors very much. Apart from the famous Sukhna Lake, Rock Garden, Rose Garden or Sector 17, there are a few more additions to these spots and one of them is Chandigarh Bird Park.
Sukhna Lake
Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, India, is a reservoir at the foothills of the Himalayas. This 3 km² rainfed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Originally, the seasonal flow entered the lake directly causing heavy siltation
Bird Park Chandigarh
There are 550 exotic birds of 48 different species available to explore in the first phase of this park.
