Injured buzzard in need of help

Simon was recently called out to rescue a buzzard that had been grounded on a popular walking path. It had blood on one wing and was covered in fly eggs. It would quickly have died if it was not recovered.

Whilst the rescue was very easy, treatment proved a little more confusing! After cleaning up the wing, our vets were surprised to find no open injury and no obvious source of blood loss. It appeared to have been very lucky and had a much better prognosis.

After a rest, some food and a final vet check, the now very feisty buzzard was released back into the wild to have its second chance at life :)
