How I Adopted a Cat in JAPAN | Day in the life of an American Woman living in TOKYO

This is how I adopted a cat in Japan. In this day in the life of an American woman living abroad in Japan, my husband and I decided to adopt a cat in Tokyo. Japanese cat adoption agencies can be difficult to adopt from. So, we decided to adopt from a foreigner friendly cat adoption rescue in Japan. In Japan, adopting a new pet can be difficult. There are many outdated rules and discrimination when it come to foreigners who want to adopt a pet in Japan. As a foreigner living abroad in Japan, I still come across racism and discrimination when I least expect it.

This is a day in the life of us adopting our second cat in Tokyo, Japan. It was a struggle introducing two kittens but the reward of two cats getting along is worth it! I truly love my life in Japan and I enjoy all the experiences. Good and bad. Big thank you to Kawakuji Rescue for supporting me and all foreigners who wish to adopt in Japan!
