Book of Beasts: The Bestiary in the Medieval World at the Getty

A summer 2019 exhibition at the Getty is all about the book of beasts—the medieval bestiary. What is a bestiary? These illustrated books contained stories about lions, unicorns, foxes, whales, and more animals—both common and fantastical. Hear medieval manuscripts experts at the J. Paul Getty Museum talk about their favorite medieval animal stories and what you'll see in the exhibition.
