Booker Prize winner Douglas Stuart 'delighted and especially proud'

Douglas Stuart says he is "delighted and especially proud" to be only the second Scottish author to win the Booker Prize. He tells Times Radio "it has taken a moment to sink in."

His novel Shuggie Bain took him 12 years to write and is set in Lanarkshire and Glasgow in the 1980s and 1990s, chronicling the life of a child who tries to keep his mother away from alcohol.
