Repair: Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 jammed focus ring

Hello friends,
I got this Tamron by mistake. I bought a Nikkor 18-105 broken, idea was to fix it. Got this better lens instead. Informed the seller that he sent me the wrong lens and proposed to send it back, never got an answer.
So, after 6 or so months on a shelf, I decided to give it a go. Now it's sitting on my wife's uncle camera and making great pictures.
