Gonna Find Her - Tierra - Bass Cover - Request

Hello :)

This is the requested transcription I've done of the Tierra song "Gonna Find Her" from their 1990 album "City Nights". Steve Falomir was the bass player on this track.

I first heard this song and of this band last week when I began working on it. I have to admit that the first time I heard this song, I wasn't that impressed. Something sounded off to me? But the person who requested this is such a good supporter that I went ahead and started transcribing it...and I'm really glad I did! :) The more I got into the song the more I began to appreciate the feel and the harmonies. I think what I was hearing the first time is this Eb7(b9) chord, which can be a little dissonant sounding, but again, the more I got into the song and got the sound in my ear, the more I was like "hey, this is a pretty cool song and bass line" :)

I think it's a beautiful bass line he came up with. It's melodic and rhythmic and fits perfectly into the song. I had to really try to play cleanly, accurately, pay attention to articulations (note length) and be patient. I hope you give it a try and like it as much as I did...in the end ;)
