Intermediate Jump Rope Combination - How To Backward EB Like Geraldo

Between leg stall (Direction change)
In the first step we’ll be covering the between the leg stall and doesn’t involve much. It’s basically the start of your transition from front to backwards skipping. To do this move you open both legs and let the rope stall in between. From there you change directions, swing the rope backwards and catch the rope with your heel.
Backward EB
Now in step two is where the magic happens. Once you change directions the rope is now moving from the front to the back of your body. Once the rope has made a full loop and is about to crush into your calves you want to cross over your right hand over to the left side of your body, while crossing your left hand to the right side of your body behind your back. This will make the rope swing past the right side of your body to enter the second loop. To practice rope positioning, try to catch the second loop with your heel, while keeping your hands in the same crossed position.
This is probably the most challenging part of all and will take some practice. To help you out, here are some different angles of our hand positioning.
Swing rope past body
Now if you mastered the last step, this one will be easy. This step is only here to help you transition from your cross, back into a basic stance. Now after exiting your backward EB, instead of catching the rope with your heel, you want to swing the rope back to the front by moving both of the arms to the left side of your body and swing it back up from there.
Kick back (Direction Change)
The swing of the last step will position you back into basic position. However, the rope is still traveling backwards. Now what makes this move look extra smooth is the last kickback which send the rope back to the front. Leaving you to continue skipping like a boss.
