Running Horse Automata

This is the 2nd prototype of my running horse. It still needs a few minor design tweaks. I am trying to get the entire movement only from a crank shaft without relying on gears.
The legs on this one are a little bit too floppy. The next version I will tighten them up a big more to get a much smoother run. Also I will stabilize it a bit better to stop the shaking.
It was a lot of fun to make! Everything was cut on a scroll saw.

The software I used to design the legs is from David Rector called Linkage. I could never make this without this amazing software!
