Released nearly 2 decades ago, the Yukon featured higher-end components (Shimano Deore) but kept prices near the middle of the range. And while today's Yukon's can be bought in the thousands of dollars, this particular one slotted above the Specialized Hard Rock in price and capability, making it a better option for beyond novice trail riding. Featuring dual disc mechanical brakes and tension adjustment on the front fork, the Yukon had the parts to make it shine. But perhaps its greatest strength was its frame. Built to take a pounding, older specimens like this one still function with the rigidity and durability that make it a pleasure to ride rough. Not to mention, the paint scheme on the Yukon's still turn heads! The Giant Yukon competed against mountain bikes from Specialized, Trek, Cannondale, Fuji, Raleigh, Scott, Gary Fisher, GT, Klein, Marin, Rocky Mountain, and Kona, among others.
