How I fixed my malfunctioning convertible top 2007 Ford Mustang GT or V6 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009

The part number I am referring to in the video is 8R3Z-19A434-A. I'm sure you can find it online anywhere if you just want to replace the whole thing.

I tested EVERYTHING else, and it came down to the one little "stopper switch" on the passenger side near the lift ram. The slim little tangs were touching the trigger when they shouldn't be (when top is being lowered.) I spread them off just a few mm with a screwdriver or pliers - Problem solved.

What was happening was when lowering the top, it would stop about every 3 seconds - but not a binding issue. Not the pump. Not the button. Not the relays. Because I tested all of those and they all checked out fine. So, the little "stopper switch" or whatever it is called was the only thing left. And sure enough, that was the issue. Also, make sure that trigger is aligned properly. You might have to experiment with it - or compare to someone else's Mustang GT or V6 Convertible.
