In this video, Professor Tov shares the importance of measuring Well-being from a day-to-day process. In his research, he uses diary studies to tease apart the differences between a satisfaction day and dissatisfaction day. While the two are closely intertwined, he explains the distinctions between meaning and satisfaction diverge at some point and how we respond to our daily experiences will, therefore, impact our life as a whole. Professor Tov also talks about how negative experiences is an important aspect of Well-being when we are able to distance ourselves from negative emotions and look at things in a broader and cognitive level, it will help us become more resilient and help us live life with more sense of authenticity and purpose.
