Commemorating Ernest Alfred Hall - Last Post Ieper, 25/08/2021

On 25/08/1895, Ernest Alfred Hall was born. On 25/08/2021, Murray Hall and his family wanted to lay a wreath during the Last Post Ceremony at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. However this was not possible due to the fact that the memorial was closed due to COVID-19.

Youri Van Miegroet, one of the ceremonial assistants of the Last Post Association, laid a wreath during the daily Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate Memorial in Ieper, Belgium. He was accompanied by Jan Fieuw and Stefanie Ameel, who both have a special connection with Ernest Alfred Hall.

Op 25/08/1895, werd Ernest Alfred Hall geboren. Op 25/08/2021, wou Murray Hall samen met zijn familie een krans neerleggen tijdens de dagelijkse Last Post in hetAustralian War Memorial in Canberra. Dit was echter niet mogelijk omdat het memorial gesloten was omwille van COVID-19.

Youri Van Miegroet, een van de ceremonial assistants van de Last Post Association, legde een krans neer aan de Menenpoort in Ieper tijdens de dagelijkse Last Postplechtigheid. Hij was hierbij vergezeld door Jan Fieuw en Stefanie Ameel, die allebei een speciale band hebben met Ernest Alfred Hall.
