This video will start showing the Bowlers and their wickets from ipl season 2008 and also show the trend of bowlers with their rise and fall with each season and it is interesting to see how each bowler performed season by season. The bowler with most wickets in the tournament during the course of the season would wear the Purple Cap while fielding, with the overall leading wicket-taker at the conclusion of the tournament winning the actual Purple Cap award on the day of the season's final. In the case of a tie, the bowler with a superior economy rate would hold the Purple Cap. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Dwayne Bravo remain the only players to have won it twice.
The Bowler who gets the maximum wickets will be awarded Purple cap and from the video we can clearly see the purple cap holder of each season and details of the player like the team he played for during that season and Country he belongs to along with the number of matches played and wickets taken in those matches.
Imran Tahir of Chennai Super Kings won the Purple Cap of Indian Premier League 2019 after claiming two wickets in the final against Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad. Tahir became the highest wicket-taker of IPL 2019 with 26 wickets in 63 overs.
Lasith Malinga of Mumbai Indian top the list with most wickets in IPL all season with 170 Wickets (169 Wickets in match and 1 Wicket in super over which will not be considered in players career score) in 471.1 Overs in 122 IPL Matches with 7.14 economy rate.
