Pelvic Organ Prolapse is when uterus or the womb in a woman drops down and it can be felt as a numb in the vagina. So this is how women will feel that suddenly they feel there something coming down and they get uncomfortable to walk , there is something in between their legs and that causes friction and when they have to sit somewhere they feel very uncomfortable and it can sometimes leads to problems passing urine. Because when something is really down it also drags the bladder where the urine is stored down and what happens when you go and attempt to pass urine, urine might not come against the gravity and pass. So sometimes it can lead to incomplete emptying of urine. That can sometimes result in recurrent urine infections. The same thing might happen with the motion passage also. When that is dragged down motion might not be passed completely and this can lead to a lot of discomfort for many women. So when anyone feels that there is a lump down in the vagina causing discomfort or when there is hitting, when something is triggering down all the time exposed to air it can cause ulcers and that can cause bleeding. Find yourself having a bleeding after menopause when you are not expected to have bleeding or you feel a lump or you feel problems passing urine or motion then please come and see your gynaecologist.
