Based in Shonan, sarutobiii is a beatmaker and rapper whose gritty yet mellow grooves blend lo-fi, boom bap, dub, and reggae into a sound all his own—making waves across the underground scene both in Japan and overseas.

He has released music on labels such as Tsuchinoko Pro (Japan), Cheeba Cheeba Records (UK), and Hand Rotate Records (Taiwan). sarutobiii also produced the beat for “Smoke Weed,” a signature track by local Chigasaki rapper DIRTY JOINT, and continues to drop numerous tracks on Spotify and iTunes. In 2024, he reached #1 on Malaysia’s iTunes Hip-Hop chart and #3 overall, gaining recognition well beyond Japan.

In 2025, sarutobiii launched a new crew called COZZYZ alongside DIRTY JOINT, IBJ, and 2Yama.
