Heart transplant surgery is in normal people's word it's called as a changing of the heart. That means the recipient heart is explanted the same way you harvest the donor heart who is brain dead bring it here and we connect that heart into the of the recipient. That means we do a sternotomy into the chest cavity we connect the LA the PA the left atrium is first connected. Then the pulmonary artery is connected then the aorta is connected. The inferior vena is connected and the superior vena cava is connected. This is what we do in transplant.
