The most expensive art deal in history: THE LOST LEONARDO | ZFF Daily 2021

THE LOST LEONARDO is a documentary focusing on the art world's biggest mystery: the painting of Salvador Mundi. Allegedly painted by Leonardo Da Vinci, this piece has resurfaced in New Orleans and been bought for 1.1k by an American art dealer in 2005. A few years later, it was being sold at Christie’s for 450 Mio. Dollars. Andreas Dalsgaard and Andreas Koefoed (Producer and Director) talk about the entangled world of the art industry and world politics and why this documentary is so captivating.

This movie is shown at the Zurich Film Festival:
Wednesday September 29th at 18.30 at Arena 4.

The «Zurich Film Festival» brings together filmmakers, directors, the film industry and the audience in Zurich. In addition to national and international films, a variety of movies from this year’s guest country Italy are shown in the section «New World View». Film screenings in the presence of filmmakers or the public «ZFF Masters» let the audience be closer to the stars as well as young filmmakers.

Cast / Audiovisual Media is a subject area at the Zurich University of the Arts. Under the direction of Eric Andreae, Nadia Holdener, Nico Lypitkas, Caroline Feder, Nina Rothenberger and Raffael Thielmann, the students in the 3rd and 5th semester create audiovisual content for «ZFF Daily». They use their knowledge in animation, editing, filming and social media acquired during their studies.
