Best 84-Year-Old Piano Player in the World

Susan Hsueh Lin learned to play the piano while fleeing the Japanese Army in 1942. Ten years later she immigrated to the United States and attended college in Texas. She won the prestigious Dealey Awards in 1954, two years after Van Cliburn. She performed with the Dallas Symphony and at a pinnacle moment into her world-wide acclaim, she chose to follow a new path. She marry David Lin, a celebrated surgeon and together they served as missionaries and raised a family. For 59 years she stopped playing the piano.
