Sensory Panel

This is a brief presentation of my final piece; "Sensory Panel" for Research & Development Module.

Attached to the panel are a leather sofa arm rest with buttons. Two buttons; pink and blue, are painted with fluorescent in for a glow effect with UV light. Three buttens are ordinary, with numbers and five numbers are connected to Makey Makey board which is connected directly to a Laptop. Each out of five buttons are assigned to a specific button in the laptop key board, in the Soundplant 43 same kebord buttons are assigned to different sound keynotes. When a button is touched on the leather sofa arm rest a sound is played.

Next to the leather sofa arm rest there is an opening made for a touchpad tablet. Unfortunately I wasn't able to obtain the right tablet that would be compatible with my programs. The plan was that the only the tablet screen would be visible; inside a picture frame, an app would be set Webcam Toy where a camera would capture the users face at the time, with an old filter, creating an effect of an old photograph.

Next is a custard cream cookie, most traditional english cookie. It's outer yellow parts are made out of nutty putty with added scent of toffee and the white cream center is also meda out of nutty putty with added fluorescent glow and cola scent. The three parts of the cookie are pierced with an elastic band that holds the together or can easily be pulle apart.

The last on the sensory panel is a chocoate mug made out of brown clay, with chocolate bar techture around it. The clay has a chocolate scent and the inside i layered with a morrored vinyl film to create a kaleidoscopic reflection of everything that faces the mug. The mug itself is attached to the panel with a metal rod for a rotary movements.
