Italy lost more than 627 lives on Thursday pushing the death toll in the country to over 4,000.
As these numbers continue to rise, here in the states, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that the borders to Canada and Mexico will be closed to non-essential travelers as of this weekend.
President Trump announced today that the deadline to file your tax returns has been from April 15th to July 15th.
Meanwhile more states are stepping up their efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Governor Gavin Newsom ordered the state’s 40 million residents to stay indoors unless it’s necessary to leave.
In New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced an executive order stating that all nonessential businesses must cease work outside of the home.
These restrictions will be enforced by fines and mandatory closures.
New York City’s Mayor Bill de Blasio has given a chilling warning, saying that the state only has medical supplies to last a few more weeks.
The city currently has the largest number of coronavirus cases in the U.S. with more than 4,000 people infected

After a rocky week on Wall Street, we are seeing slight gains.
The Dow was up 130 points after opening bell while the S&P 500 rose by just under 1 percent.
