How to start a Slow Blues Solo

First impressions count! Here is a killer way to start a blues solo. This lick is one I picked up from the amazing Kirk Fletcher. There is a lot of SRV in this one too.
The cool thing is that you can float over time with these types of licks. You don’t have play 8th notes in time. Instead, you play freely, “floating over time”, so to speak. It’s a fun way to play, and it works really well over slow tunes.
Give it a try and share your recording on social media! Give it a hashtag of #startingabluessolo and post on twitter, instagram, facebook, etc.
