Pourquoi, près d'un quart de siècle après sa sortie, le septième volet de la saga Final Fantasy suscite t-il toujours une telle passion ? Pourquoi tant d’individus tout ce qu’il y a de plus valables lui vouent un tel culte ? Qu’est-ce que ce jeu a de plus que les autres ?

Oeuvre Alpha dans la déjà plus si jeune histoire des Jeux Vidéos, Final Fantasy VII a marqué toute une génération de joueurs et de joueuses à travers le monde en révolutionnant non seulement son genre, mais aussi son industrie.

Madeleine de Proust personnelle, j'ai essayé avec ce documentaire d'expliquer ce qui a fait de Final Fantasy VII un jeu unique et pourquoi, aujourd'hui encore, le message méta de cette oeuvre trouve toujours un écho d'une résonance terrifiante dans notre monde actuel.
