Hello! I'm an American on a quest to learn more about history, geography and the universe in general. In this video I take a look at infantry tactics that European armies used in the 1700s. These are the tactics that Napoleon used in his war with Britain, Russia, and the rest of Europe. Before watching this, I didn't know why they used to fight in straight rows of soldiers, since it seemed to be an easy target. But now I can appreciate the reasons behind these formations, and all of the intricacies the soldiers had to learn to attack and defend.
