Halo Beauty Manipulates Customers? | Profit From Pandemic (Ep. 2)

I wanted to talk about the email sent by Halo Beauty on March 22 because I think it's a good example of how companies try to subtly manipulate their customers when selling a product. In this email Halo Beauty, a supplement brand started by beauty-guru and YouTuber Tati Westbrok, talks about their upcoming "immunity-boosting" supplement that they wanted to launch sooner for the coronavirus but were unable to prepare the supplement soon enough so they "suggest" other vitamin brands for their customers to purchase during this time to "help their immune system". In this video I talk about how, in my opinion, this is a manipulation tactic to prepare their customers for the launch of their immunity-boosting supplement and I also talk about other issues in the email such as the confusing grey area between Halo Beauty and Tati Westbrook (and how they may be trying to keep it grey so Tati's audience associates her trust with Halo's brand). I hope in the comments we all can have a positive discussion about when a company crosses a line, and how we can better identify manipulative practices within a company!
