After fixing our 6.5 Tecumseh with a Predator 212 carburetor, we take the head off to port and polish the intake and exhaust runners, as well as do a DIY head shave with a belt sander. We reinstalled the head, drilled out the carburetor jet for more fuel flow, and fabricated a straight pipe header, and tested the acceleration, top speed, and lap time. This $28.25 go kart laid down a scorching 33:11 on the CarsandCameras Grand Prix, way faster than our 200cc shifter kart and stage 2 212cc Margay racing kart.
