Welcome to Lac Baleine in Reims-La-Brulee, France. Situated in the Champagne region about 3 hours from Calais. A 23 acre secluded lake set in 40 acres of private land, Lac Baleine holds specimen carp up to 64lb with most fish ranging between 25 to 35lb.

Lined with mature over hanging trees and surrounded by woodland, peace & tranquillity are guaranteed. There are 23 spacious swims with a limit of 12 anglers meaning there is always a choice of free swims.

We’re The Bait Escape, a small collection of mates that share a passion for carp angling & the great outdoors. Join us on our week long journey as we try our hand at fishing in France. We seized a great opportunity to venture on our first trip to Europe in what turned out to be a very small window due to lockdown restrictions & isolation periods. It’s a great chance for both of us to break our PB’s and to showcase some amazing carp.
