Nancy continues the Quilted Tiles tutorial. The design has been created and the bias stems made. Now its time to transfer the design to the background fabric. Nancy shares a couple different techniques of how transfer the design.
You need to think ahead as you place the stems on the design. It will take some time. If you have any insets, you will have to put them down first.
Products used:
Daylight Wafer 2 Light Box
Mary Ellen's Best Press Spray Sizing
Staedtler Pigment Liner Pen .7
Transdoodle Tracing Paper for dark fabric
Use Roxanne Glue Baste It to add dots of glue where you need to glue your bias stem.
Hand applique the bias strips to the background fabric to finish the design. Use some silk thread, a fun thimble and a small needle.
Nancy finishes the tutorial by showing several quilts she has done using the quilt as you go technique and invisible machine applique. Catch the next tutorial where Nancy shows how to quilt as you go.
