Sarfraz Manzoor was a teenager growing up in Luton when he discovered Bruce Springsteen's music and since then he's felt that every big event in his life has centred around his love for Bruce and his music. He teamed up with his friend Gurinder Chadha, who directed the hit film Bend It Like Beckham and they set about making the screenplay of Sarfraz's life a reality.
