TIG Welding 101: Aluminum TIG Restarts | Everlast Welders
There are 3 things that you are going to have to learn quickly if you want to get into Aluminum TIG welding and all three have to do with restarts. TIG welding Aluminum is very different from TIG welding steel and stainless. When you're Aluminum TIG welding you hold a much tighter arc length, which makes the process much more prone to tungsten dips. This is why iif you plan on TIG welding Aluminum, you have to get good at Aluminum restarts.
