After “finishing” the 6.4 SRT Hemi swap into my Jeep wrangler, it’s time to make a few changes.
Since I went with the 8 speed transmission, we need to change out the trans valve body computer. If you buy the Jeep speed shop 8 speed kit, Todd will program yours with a challenger tune so it has better shift points as well as the option to use the tap shift, manual shift mode.
The Hemi swapped jeep is a blast to drive, with plenty of power. Now keep in mind that this ECM came with a Cali compliant tune... so it is a very conservative tune with a ton of power left on the table.
The plan is to lower the intake temps, then flash a new performance tune for the engine so we can get all of the power out of it!
After swapping out the valve body, there were some major transmission issues. I will include some links below that will help those who are doing this project.
After everything was good to go, the Jeep Gladiator decided it wanted attention, and started misfiring. The Charger Scat pack got hit by a golf cart, and we still need to get back started on Cassie’s LJ LS swap. Things are getting pretty crazy around here.
