Kayaking Uwharrie River, NC

We were invited by Missy Childers and The Crossed Paddles Crew to join in float down the lower Uwharrie River. This is a section I had never done. Even better, I was going to paddle with several folks I have never met or paddled with before. The weather was perfect, the water level was ideal, and the day could not have gone better! We even had a few struggles to overcome to make the story complete! Special thanks to all those who cooked the wonderful lunch! Out of this world! The Uwharrie River in south central NC is a beautiful river and flows through the Uwharrie National Forest. What a wonderful kayaking and all things outdoors resource!
