Rough Rider (Ryder) Knives, Are They Worth It? General Discussion on Rough Rider Knives
Today we take a look at some of my Rough Rider Knives. I talk about the quality you can expect, the costs, and if they are worth your consideration.
I happen to really like Rough Rider knives and I think they have there own speacial place in the traditional slipjoint knife community.
Rough Rider Knives are very affordable, usually around 10-20 dollars and I like Rough Rider traditional knives for a number of different reasons.
First is the price of a Rouch Rider Knife. For as little as 5 or 6 dollars you can buy a fully working traditional slipjoint knife. If you don't end up liking your Rough Rider knife, it won't break the bank. It has been my experience more often than not that The quality of Rough Rider knives exceeds my expectations.
Because Rough Rider knives are so inexpensive, its a great way to try out different traditional knife patterns for not a lot of money. I have done this with several of my Rough Rider knives and its a great way to learn about different traditional slipjoint knife patterns.
If your new to sharpening, don't run the risk of ruining your new expensive blade! Get a Rough Rider Knife and learn the ins and outs of sharpening on an inexpensive, easy to sharpen knife.
Rough Rider knives are also great if you want to experiment with modifying your knife. I did this exact thing with my Rough Rider Tear Drop Jack by putting an easy open notch in it. https://bit.ly/30STvU6
Over all I think that Rough Rider knives have their place in the traditional knife community and I can recommend them.
I hope you enjoyed my video on Rough Rider Traditional Knives!
Have a great day!
