Our media literacy needs to be on the ball to dismantle propaganda. Be careful not to frame what you see / read / talk about as truth until verified. This is as simple as saying “I’m not sure if this is true but I saw XY”.

A free press is an essential part of a functioning democracy. Ethical journalism is in place to hold governments to account through transparency. Without a free press, corruption is able to flourish. And we may already be there which is why we have to be diligent.

Aristotle says, “Don’t accept everything you hear as truth. Be critical and evaluate what you believe in”. Ask yourself, what does this person have to gain by trying to convince me of this? If the answer is wealth
