Rolex Submariner 116610
I typically never been a watch person, but I told myself if I bought this that I would wear it every day which I have done for the last six months, and this video I wanted to give you a follow up on my thoughts after the purchase and if it was worth buying or not.
I bought the stainless Steele submariner with date, and I realize this is one of the most replicated watch around, but it was also one of the most iconic and classic. But what really drew me to the watch was a simple look of the black face and stainless steel body.
Price was $8550 US and I had to wait 1 month to get it.
Why did I want one?
Clout? Status? Showing off? Appreciation of the company? Self validation?
Maybe a combo of things.
Pros
Not super glossy finish
Beautiful watch
Timeless, classic look
Ceramic bezel is very nice
If you wear it daily, don’t need to reset date and time.
The lume is crazy good
The adjustable clasp is so nice
No one really notices it
Worth buying new to have registered in ur name
Cons
Stainless scuffs very easily
Rough edges around the dial scrape my kids on accident on occasion.
Treated poorly trying to buy one as if I couldn’t afford it based on my appearance.
Never was one to use the heads of a watch
The bezel is often moved and have to reset often
Servicing them is very expensive I hear, I doubt I will service mine.
No one really notices it lol total of less than 5 pp complimented it so far in person
Sometime I think I could have paid for xy or z..

HOW MUCH DOES A NEW ROLEX SUBMARINER COST?
Rolex offers the Submariner in several different color and metal options; however the price of a brand-new, steel-cased, Rolex Submariner is $7,500 for the standard no-date version (reference 114060), and $8,550 for the slightly more expensive Submariner Date (reference 116610). Prices quickly increase from there, with the use of Rolex’s proprietary, 18-karat gold alloy in their Rolesor (two-tone) and solid gold versions.

The price range for Submariners spans tens of thousands of dollars, and this vast disparity can make it difficult to determine how much a new Submariner actually costs. Searching the Internet using key phrases such as, “Rolex Submariner price new” and ““Rolex Submariner price used” will help provide a rough estimate of value; however rarely are these results comprehensive enough to differentiate between all the Submariner variations.
For this reason, we recommend referencing a Rolex Submariner price list when buying new, and The Guide to Buying Pre-Owned when shopping in the secondary market. Nearly every factor will have an impact on price, and prospective buyers should pay close attention to the details when shopping for a Submariner.
WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN BUYING A ROLEX SUBMARINER
Let’s say that after reading a Rolex Submariner review and doing some research, a customer decides to purchase a brand-new one for the holidays. Even if they use a price list for reference, the subtle differences between Submariners may not be all that apparent.
The first decision is whether to buy the reference 114060 Submariner, or the reference 116610 Submariner Date. After making this decision, then a metal selection must be made. Even if the customer wants a specific Submariner, there may still not be a clear value for how much it will cost. The price list may display two different offerings for seemingly identical watches: $8,550 for the Submariner Date reference 116610LN and $9,050 for the Submariner Date reference 116610LV.
These two Submariners are identical in terms of size, specifications, and materials; yet one costs $500 more than the other. At first, this may seem somewhat confusing; however the price list is actually drawing an important distinction: the standard Rolex Submariner watch price is $8,550, while the Rolex Submariner Green price is $9,050. The sole difference between the two is the color; however the green commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Submariner line, and thus costs an additional $500 over the regular, black model.
The Submariner is Rolex’s most popular and iconic watch; however the number of options available can make it difficult to ascertain how much one actually costs. Although the price range for Submariners is huge, it can generally be agreed upon, that a brand-new, stainless steel, Rolex Submariner costs $7,500 for the standard version, and $8,550 for the reference with the date complication.
