Santa a Century Ago.
This is a cinema newsreel shown in cinemas in and around Stoke-on-Trent from November 1922. It shows Santa Claus arriving in a train at Stoke Station, being led out to his carriage by a brass band, driving the ponies and carriage away around the town and arriving in Hanley to climb his golden ladder into McIlroy's department store - all the time touting the sandwich board he wears saying "My Home is McIlroy's".
