A walk through of Hockey Profiling Systems

In this video we show you the difference between the Blademaster Custom Radius Boot Guage and the MDF(Fleming Gray)Body Balance Contour measuring systems. Using both systems we show you the different making locations with both setups to compare their end results before actually gridning and therefore profiling or contouring a blade.

The Blademaster system gives you a 3 point reference system. A Toe, Center and Heel balance point mark. Grinding takes place between the forward(toe) and rear(heel) markings. As a Tech you are feathing the toe and heel to these markings and then blending the radius.

The MDF system gives your more customizable options due to its nature as a numbered ruler. This system gives you a 5 point reference system. As a Tech, you are grinding between the inner markings of the forward and rear markings. This system also gives you a the outer forward and rear markings as feathering points to assure consistent feathering and blending locations.
