PlayStation 4 PS4 SAB-001 4-pin 5v Connector Ripped Off - 5v rail shorted - Diagnosis and Repair

This video shows the repair of a PS4 console with damage to its 5v 4-pin connector on the motherboard after suffering damage during power supply removal. The forces from the resulting tug destroyed the port and much of the header which it connects to. This was further compounded by a bodged repair job at some point down the line which resulted in the entire 5v line being permanently connected to ground!

Here we take some rather extreme (but necessary) measures to remove the short, replace the port and repair the circuits which became damaged in order to restore power and get this PlayStation back up and running once more.
