Turning Trash into Treasure
We've turned smaller things like recycled plastic pen blanks on our lathe before, but we wanted to see how well it did on something a little bigger. So we made a chunky old blank using 3.5kg of plastic waste and chucked this in our DIY bottle jack press.
Now, we can get by with the odd pen here and there, but we're no experts when it comes to turning. Fortunately, our wonderful friend Jamie from @jpwoodwork was very happy to help us out. So we handed our big green blank over to him to turn into a lovely looking plate.
He said it was super nice to work with and that it looked awesome straight off the tools without any finishing steps needed.
