This plan, which will go live in April 2022, outlines our ambition for the next three years (2022-2025) and frames this around our long-term ambition to be an ‘outstanding’ Fire and Rescue Service. This focuses on six strategic goals which cover the key areas: prevention, protection, response, our communities, improvement, and sustainability.

Area Manager, Damien West, said: “The consultation will run until Friday 24 December, and it is your chance to feedback on the strategic goals, the commitments being made to deliver these, and the new look CRMP.

“We really value the opinions of our communities, and this is an opportunity to shape the future direction of the Service.

“This plan will drive our work, at every level, over the next three years and everything that we do will link into the strategic goals of the Service; so it is vital that these reflect our priorities and support our Vision of ‘Creating Safer Communities’.”

The new plan has been created with the aim of being easy to read, engaging, and clearly outlining our Service’s direction over the next three years. The first section has been written in ‘plain English’ so that it is easy to read for our communities, with the second section going into more detail about our Service, our communities, and our ambition.
