Las Vegas Jazz Society "Jazz Machine" performing on The Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon

Recorded on Monday, September 5, 1977 at the Sahara Hotel's Space Room in Las Vegas, Nevada. This performance features Dan Skea (electric piano, conductor), Butch Miles (drums), and an appearance by Marlena Shaw (vocalist). The group is comprised of many Las Vegas musicians who met casually to rehearse big band jazz at the Union Hall during their time off from playing in the hotel pit bands and orchestras during the mid 1970s.

Please excuse the video quality. This is a very old recording from a low-resolution source tape that was then converted to DVD before I received it. Please note that there is 30-second section where the original tape was damaged. This effected the video, but not the audio.
