Episode 8 was a complete blast. We saw how Garfiel turned into a literal monster and how bunnies are actually not that cute. I think I hate Garfiel now because he killed our best boi Otto, which technically makes him more worthy of Best Boy for saving Subaru and ended up restarting all over again. Despite all the information gathered and plot twists in these past episodes inside the Sanctuary, Subaru has started all over again. I remembered this feeling back in Season 1 where he attempted to run away with Rem. The feeling of having no choice. The sadness, the fear, all the things that you know will happen will just happen. The lack of power to reverse the situation. Lack of time, knowledge, and skills. All of this gives me complete sadness.

Anyways, we get to see another Tea Party with Echidna, thanks to Subaru for smacking his head on the ground repeatedly. In here, Subaru realized that the phrase "Return By Death" does not affect Echidna. At first, I thought that Subaru just wanted to hurt her because she's a witch but when he repeated that phrase over and over, I finally understood. He was letting his past emotions out of somebody when it is impossible to tell it to another person because of the Witch scent production. It's incredibly frustrating. From a person's stand point, this is too much of a curse. Echidna said that she knows everything he did to come to that point. The last time Subaru told someone that he suffered a lot was way back episode 4 of S1 (yes, im knowledgeable lmao) where he told Emilia that he couldn't help it and cried on her lap. Overall, this was a great episode and I cannot wait for the next one. I am not a manga reader so I want to be surprised these next weeks.
