Who we are, how long have we been in AoE2, what we want from the Game.
Hello! My name is Dmitry 'Vinchester' Smirnov, I am the captain and co-founder of the Russian-speaking esports team “SalzZ”. In this video, I would like to introduce you to my team.
We created SalzZ to raise the level of Russian-speaking players in Age of Empires II in the world level and thus rock the entire Russian-speaking AoE community! The plans are pretty big. Why are we so bold and who are we anyway, you might ask: well, you probably already know me, but if that's not the case, I have been playing AoE for more than 10 years, sometimes more sometimes less intensively. This year I was especially active. In just a year, I managed to enter the top 10 players in the world in AoE II, and recently I became the number three player on the planet! In other words: my love for the game is a given.
The ideological mastermind and second founder of the team, Maxim Sonkin aka Maxipal, was an active member of the community at the dawn of AoE. Since 2013 he has been successfully conducting his own business not related to esports.
Team manager Andrei 'dfs' Kobzar, also a big fan of the game is in charge of all team related activities: team trainings, game schedules, communication with the team, collaboration with gaming platforms and lastly the development of each player to become one of the top players in the world. Additionally, we have external consultants at our disposal. In short, we are prepared.
I value people a lot and as the captain I will try my best to set an example and monitor the mood of each player to keep it positive. And of course, my personal goal is to raise the next generation of young players, to work with them on new approaches and strategies and to acquire skills that can’t be increased just by playing. The objective for the team as a whole is to raise the level of the Russian-speaking community and to get Russian-speaking players to the world’s top. For the future, we are not limited to Age of Empires and will expand the range of games.
